The Florida Wind Band proudly supports furthering music education opportunities for school-aged musicians. Bay Area Youth (BAY) Winds is Tampa Bay’s premier outlet for middle and high school students to receive exceptional performance opportunities for intermediate and advanced musicians. Student participants come from all over the Tampa Bay Area including Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Hernando counties.

BAY Winds ensembles are designed to challenge and supplement the quality instruction students receive from their local, school-enrolled music programs and private lesson instructors. Students in BAY Winds experience quality training and instruction from well decorated professional musicians and educators, as well as the opportunity to study and perform outstanding and challenging literature with like-minded peers from the Tampa Bay Area. Throughout the year, this organization offers three semesters of ensemble offerings . Rehearsals and concerts take place at the USF School of Music located at 3755 USF Holly Drive, Tampa, FL.
